      <image:title>Academic Coaching</image:title>
<image:caption>SWIT wants to be your academic coach. SWIT Founder, Dr. Justin Grimes, struggled in undergraduate and graduate school because he didn’t create a structure for success. Dr. Grimes had a 14 reading score on his ACT, a 1.66 GPA his first semester in college, and a GRE score of 265. So how did he go from these scores and GPA to pursuing and completing his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees? With the change in mindset and routine, Dr. Grimes identified strategies to overcome challenges impacting his success. SWIT has some questions for you. Do you struggle to create momentum? Do you find you complete a task only when someone else has created a deadline? You know that you are intelligent and talented, but maybe you need some accountability? Are you struggling to show up and complete even the smallest of tasks? You have an idea about a topic, like a thesis or dissertation, and lack direction on how or where to get started. You know you want to get a graduate degree, but not sure where to begin. Are you scared the graduate program won’t accept you because your test score, GPA, or year’s experience don’t meet their qualifications? You’ve selected the graduate program(s) you’re interested in applying to, but you have some concerns or questions about a stage or stages in the application process? Do you find that you need someone to walk with you from the beginning to the end of applying to graduate school but don’t know anyone willing to help? These are just a few questions Dr. Grimes has asked himself or heard from others. The great thing is that he has experience in helping you answer these questions and more. SWIT offers academic coaching in the following areas: Applying to graduate school Identifying your dissertation topic Developing a plan to complete your dissertation SWIT helps you recognize and address the underlying challenges that impact their motivation and progress. <image:title>Public Speaking - The Power of Preparation: How to Be R.E.A.D.Y. for Opportunities That Matter</image:title>
<image:caption>True success begins with readiness—being prepared to seize the next opportunity when it arrives. In contrast, being unprepared (or "Raggedy") means lacking the strategy and tools to reach your academic, personal, or professional goals. Being R.E.A.D.Y. is more than just being equipped. It’s about cultivating the mindset, skills, and connections you need to move forward. Dr. Justin Grimes's 5-step R.E.A.D.Y. process, inspired by his journey from a 16 ACT score to a Ph.D., shows you how to turn setbacks into stepping stones and build the foundation for a thriving career and fulfilling life. Learn how to leverage your talents and purpose to achieve the outcomes you envision. UNO Out: How to win the game of DEI Do you enjoy the game UNO? You know the feeling of saying UNO, UNO OUT to signify that you have finished. Everyone wants to win, but not everyone knows how to play the game successfully. Sometimes diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) can feel like a game with few participants. Everyone plays an active role in DEI being successful no matter who you are. Diversity is always present but may not be highlighted. You can build inclusion practices, but they must be evaluated and revamped. Equity is challenging because it requires examining, stripping, rebuilding, and redistributing resources in ways that work for all groups. This keynote is for you if your organization is unsure where to start, discuss DEI, and who needs to be a part of the strategic plan. In this 60-minute interactive presentation, organizations will learn how to win at the game of DEI with the cards they have been dealt.</image:caption>
